I just talked to Jaime. She is in Sparta, Illinois at the Grand, along with Geoff, Tina, Renea, Grayson, and Gibson. Duane returned to Kentucky yesterday after helping get everything going in Sparta, and Garon, Geoff’s dad, left for Sparta yesterday. Needless to say, whether our employees are at Sparta or at our store in Kentucky, everyone is staying pretty busy.
Jaime said that despite the 100+ temperatures, there has been a great turnout! The first two days were Scholastic days and they were really impressed with how polite and well behaved the kids were. She said sales have been good and everyone has worked hard to get just what everyone needs. The guys at the shell house have been sweating it out, selling a ton of shells.
Jaime wanted to make sure that everyone knows how much everyone really appreciates the big turnout. She didn’t have a lot of time to talk though because more people were coming into the store to enjoy the air conditioning and do a little shopping - so she had to get back to work, but I am sure she will be in touch again soon!
By the way, Jaime has been taking lots of pictures at the Grand. I will post a few here, but all of them will be on the Events and Happenings page soon - keep checking back.
