We made it back from
Sparta,
IL this week with another successful shoot behind us. The 2007 Gamaliel Fall Clays Classic at the World Shooting and Recreational Complex went great! Our attendance was down some but the weather was perfect with the exception of the occasional 30 mph wind gust.
A big congratulation to Curt Mauldin for being our HOA winner with an impressive 185 and to Wendell Cherry who came in 2nd and Jon Kruger rounding out the top 3. We also want to congratulate the
Lindenwood
College shooting team for winning the collegiate challenge. They got to take home a team trophy to display at their school as well as five free main event shooting spots at the 2008 Gamaliel Cup in April. Also represented was South Eastern Illinois College. Congratulations to both teams for a great show. We hope to promote and continue to grow this area of competition in an effort to get more colleges to participate. You can see the scores at
http://www.tn-sporting.com/GFC/CUP1.shtml and by the end of the weekend; we hope to have pictures added here as well as
