Our modern gun season opened this past Sat. Nov. 10th, and so far seems to be good. Each year Gamaliel Shooting Supply sponsors a deer contest for the largest buck and doe based on field dressed weight. Shane Green is leading the buck contest with a 200lb 10 point with Tony Fox second with a 188 lb. 9 point. Lance Moore is leading with a 116 lb doe. I also want to mention a young man that wasnt in the contest but 5 year old Trace Mcyntire (with the help of his dad) harvested a 206 lb 11 point. Needless to say he and his father Darren were quite excited. I will try and get some of the pics on our photo gallery soon. K y. season is over on Nov 25th so I will announce the winner then.
