For those who were unable to join our first shoot, the Rockcastle Shooting Center is a new facility located at Park Mammoth Resort. Gamaliel has been working closely with Rockcastle and Bill Mcguire to develop one of the premier sporting clay venues in the nation. Bill has set up four different 5-stand layouts to create a fun, but challenging 100 target 5-stand event.

The event begins at 9 AM on November 21, 2009. The entry fee is $60, and includes targets, fees, and a $10 back-to-class option. A complimentary buffet lunch will also be provided to shooters.

This past weekend, Gamaliel Shooting Supply held our first registered 5 stand event with the Rockcastle Shooting Center at Park Mammoth Resort. We had a good turnout, and some great targets set by Bill McGuire. Shooters were provided lunch along with a tour of the property and a presentation by the founders and staff of the Rockcastle Shooting Center.

This was an excellent little shoot and provided a great opportunity to introduce our Gamaliel Cup shooters to this new and exciting venue. Scores have been posted and photos will be updated soon, for those who were unable to attend (see links at the bottom of this page).

We are hosting two more registered 5 stand events before the year’s end, so be sure to save those dates. These fun shoots are a great opportunity to get to know the Rockcastle Shooting Center. This will be a major venue in the coming years, with several events from various shooting disciplines already booking for 2010.

This weekend, Gamaliel Shooting Supply and the Nashville Gun Club will be hosting the Tennessee Fall Festival Trap shoot. This is sure to be an excellent shoot, with lots of prizes and money up for grabs!

The shoot takes place from October 8-11 at the Tennessee Clay Target Complex.  Saturday night, we will be serving complimentary drinks and hors D’oeuvres, as well as hosting a special event. We will also give away a new Blaser shotgun to the winner of our Blaser Shootout Saturday afternoon.

And finally, Gamaliel Shooting Supply is offering a $10,000 cash prize for breaking 100 straight on Sunday’s Remington Handicap Event!

The Rock Castle Shooting Center is a newly added part of the Park Mammoth Resort in Park City, KY. It is located between Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY directly off of I-65. It is also within a 1 hour drive of Gamaliel Shooting Supply. This developing facility already offers a 100 room hotel, a restaurant, and an 18 hole golf course, and spans over 2,000 acres of rolling countryside.

In addition to the current amenities, Rock Castle is working with some of the biggest names in the shooting industry to develop one of the premier shooting facilities in the nation. This will include trap, skeet, sporting clays  and various tactical shooting opportunities for pistol and rifle enthusiasts.

Gamaliel Shooting Supply is proud to be working with the Rock Castle Shooting Center to develop a first class sporting clays complex, including a competition five stand course within walking distance from the hotel and restaurant.

We are also happy to have Bill Mcguire working with us to develop a 15+ station course, set the targets, and will offer his shooting lessons on location in the future.

There are lots of exciting things in store for this new venue, so keep an eye for updates on the Gamaliel website, as well as the Park Mammoth site.

Today, the Gamaliel Cup staff is leaving for Sparta, IL to prepare for this year’s Sparta event. We are looking to draw around 150 shooters for this event, and we are very excited about the prize lineup, which includes 3 new guns! This is sure to be one of our best shoots yet, at the World Shooting Complex.

Gamaliel Shooting Supply is back from the Grand and everything is beginning to settle down as we get back to normal after almost a month in Sparta, IL. We would like to thank every one of our customers for their support at the Grand and during the SCTP Nationals this year.  This turned out to be a good year for the shellhouse and our retail store, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year. We also want to wish congratulations again to Dr. Gordon Rhine for winning the years supply of ammo.

Gamaliel Shooting Supply also has several events this coming fall to keep everyone busy as the shooting seasons wind down. For our Sporting Clay customers, we invite you to join our Gamaliel Cup fall shoot in Sparta, IL. This event takes place from September 18-20th and offers guaranteed prizes of a Blaser F3 Sporting, Caesar Guerini Summit Sporting and a Remington 1100!

For skeet shooters, the Midwest Skeet Shoot will also be going on in Sparta during our Gamaliel Cup shoot, so we will be offering a cross-over event for those who wish to shoot skeet, trap, and sporting clays. This will be our first attempt at the new Midwest Shotgun Championship, and we expect this to be a fun and exciting event.

For our Trap shooters, we invite you to the Tennessee Fall Festival Trap Shoot from October 8-11th at the Tennessee Clay Target Complex.  This is sure to be an excellent fall shoot.  I have to mention also that  that my oldest son Grayson is graduating Sunday May 17th 2009 from Western Kentucky University and will be working here with us after that. Also his fiance’ Jaime Langley is graduating  from WKU,  and too will be joining us hear at Gamaliel Shooting Supply this summer before beginning her teaching carreer.  Congratulations to both of them on their engagement and graduation, we are very proud . My younger son Gibson and his girlfriend Tessa will be working with us this summer as well, before going back to school this fall. I am very proud to have all of them interested in our  business and hope they will be able to continue our family tradition for many years to come. Thanks for your orders and support over the years which helped me provide my family with a good place to live, work, and go to school.
